Hello friends!
I am so excited to be sharing my first official post as a Wild Hare Kits Design Team member! The opportunity to work with The Wild Hare Kits team is such a blessing – between the personalized kits, amazingly talented Design Team, and supportive community, I am so lucky to be able to work with the product and share my projects with you!
To kick off the new Design Team, we have created a crafty tag Q&A to get to know everyone. You can read my answers below, check out the other Design Team posts here, and answer the questions for yourself! If you share your responses, use the hashtag #twhkcraftytag so we can check them out. This is a fun way to create more crafty community, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

A lot of people don’t know that I played piano for ten years. Although I don’t play much currently, it was a big part of my life growing up. I have such a strong appreciation for piano music and still love playing the occasional song. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to learn when I was younger, and can carry that skill with me throughout my life.
I have been crafting as long as I can remember! I was so lucky to grow up in a crafty family that encouraged the creativity and community of crafting. I dabbled in a lot of crafts when I was younger – from stamping to scrapbooking to card-making – but it wasn’t until I graduated college and got into planners that I fell in love with crafting again.
I am excited that the paper-crafting world is constantly growing to include and encourage more styles. Paper crafting brands are doing a great job of staying up to date with current colors, fashions, and trends to make products for people with all different styles. Being 26 years old, I want products that are fun, fresh, and modern.
My favorite tool? Hmm… Is it weird to say the Prima Planner Glue Pens? While roller adhesive is super handy, sometimes you just need a glue stick! The Prima Planner Glue Pens are super portable, great quality, and look chic too.
My favorite patterns are florals, graph/grid, anything black and white ink style, and vintage maps and ledgers. I’m pretty basic when it comes to patterns for paper and washi tape.
I’m not a traditional scrapbooker, so it’s hard to say! I definitely have A LOT of half-finished traveler’s notebooks and journals. Too many to count…
WASHI TAPE. It’s such a versatile embellishment. You can tear the edges for a creative look, or cut it into banners and arrows for something cleaner. You can use it as adhesive or as decoration. You can layer a bunch of different tapes to create a fun collage or just use one as an accent. It’s my favorite for sure.
American Crafts definitely has some of the best lines out there. I love the designs Maggie Holmes releases (so many great florals!) and Crate Paper All Heart is one of my all time favorite collections. I think they have a great balance of modern design and vintage elements.
My best tip is to have a clean and organized workspace. Do I always follow this tip myself? Absolutely not. But I have found that when I have an empty desk, I am far more inspired to create than when there’s a pile of stuff to deal with.
So many people inspire me! Crafting-wise, I am inspired by Brandi Kincaid, The Reset Girl, and Tina Aszmus of Life.Love.Paper. Right now, I am also inspired by Taylor Swift, my fellow TWHK Design Team Members, and Amy Small of Knit Collage. I could list so many more, but that’s a start!
I’m not sure it’s technically a new craft, but I would love to do more 3D paper crafting. I’ve seen people make really cool decor like mailboxes, little campers, and other sweet pieces. It would be a fun challenge to craft in 3D instead of 2D!
In the future, I hope to see more diversity in the designs and illustrations, more product in a variety of styles, and overall a more inclusive community! I have been so fortunate to find a group of planner friends IRL that is incredibly supportive, creative, and welcoming. Paper crafting is such a rewarding art, and I think all people should be able to find the joy and community through it that I have.
Thank you so much for reading my #twhkcraftytag answers!
