Hello Friends!
And Happy New Year! I am so excited to be sharing some of my first projects as a Studio Calico Creative Team Member on the blog today. The January 2018 Kit – called “Summit” – may just be one of my new favorites. All of the colors, patterns, and graphics are right up my alley, and the kit was so fun to work with.

Monthly Calendar
The first project I want to share is my January Monthly Calendar in my Large Ban.do Agenda.
The large size of this planner really helps me visualize my month, and add some inspiration right onto the pages.
For this spread, I used the Summit Planner Kit*, New Years Stamp Set by In A Creative Bubble*, and the 4×6 Patterned Paper Pad*. All of these elements worked together perfectly to create a beautiful – yet functional – calendar.
I created a tip-in using a piece of patterned paper from the 4×6 Paper Add-on. It’s the perfect size for a mini inspiration-board and motivational quote.
I used a circle punch and patterned papers from the 4×6 pad to mark appointments, birthdays, and other events. I also trimmed the washi strips to a thinner size to span across a “planning week”.
Weekly Spread
Continuing on in my Ban.do Agenda, I created this weekly spread using the Main Kit* only.
This spread is my definition of minimalist planning. I loved all the kit elements that were both functional and decorative, such as the star stickers that I used as bullet points, and the bright orange alpha that I used to create to-do list titles.
The flower planner charm is so retro and colorful, I just had to use it to add a little more decoration to this spread.
I also used my TAB punch* to make “attacher” pieces for the Start Now Bookmark. This is a great hack for those of us using spiral-bound planners!
Weekly Writing Planner
The third project I created using the Summit Planner Kit is this weekly writing planner. As I want to focus more intently on my writing this year, I decided to dedicate a planner just to my writing, revision, and planning process.
For this spread, I used the New Years stamp set* again to title each daily section. Because it’s always hard to find writing stamps, I love that the stamps are versatile enough to be used for any project!
I used my Mildliners* to create a checklist on each day, with those orange alpha stickers marking the focus of each day.
The little patterned paper flags at the top of each day are purely decoration, but aren’t they cute? I also added a few star clusters around the page (which is fitting with the astrology theme of my novel!). Once again, I created a tip in to add some interaction and extra real-estate to the page. I always like to have a bit of inspiration and motivation to remind me what I’m working toward.

So friends, what do you think of the Summit Planner Kit? I loved layering all the stickers, paper, and stamps in this month’s release. I also purchased a few Valentine’s Day goodies from the Summit Collection* (paper* & stamps*), so let me know if you’d like to see a blog post on how I use them!
Until next time,

Traci
Hi! I am looking for the 4 x 3 New Years stamp set. I know Studio Calico doesn’t offer it anymore. Would you happen to have an extra one? Thanks!

Hello Traci! I do not have an extra set – have you clicked the “notify me” button on the Studio Calico website? It is possible they will bring it back if enough people express interest, and most likely around the end of the year for that set. Best of luck!
