Hello there!
Welcome to the new and improved Whatever Bright Things. I’m starting 2016 off with a review of one of my favorite products – the Studio Calico Planner Kit. It’s a subscription kit of planning/crafting/office goodies that is delivered monthly in a cute little zipper bag. It includes everything you need for a month of creative planning: stamps, sticky notes, paper clips, stickers, washi tape, and a fun dashboard. The kit is slightly different month-to-month in terms of what exactly you get, but those are the basics that generally come in each kit.
January’s kit is called “Arendal”, and includes a gorgeous color scheme of pastels and brights. It’s the perfect combination of colors as we transition from Winter into Spring. What I love most about these planner kits is that they take the guesswork out of making a cohesive spread, while still leaving plenty of room and opportunity to be creative. You know that everything in this kit will look good together on the page, so you’re free to have fun with layout, text, and layering.
This is a spread I made for the upcoming week using January’s kit. I also used a few other stamp sets, but most of what you see is from the “Arendal” kit.
I used the sticky note flags to create a colorful banner at the top, some tiny heart stickers throughout as bullet points and decoration, and some Washi Strips to mark my to-dos.
Want to know exactly what came in January’s kit? Let me break it down for you.
Receiving my Studio Calico Planner Kit is something I look forward to every month. If you’re interested in a subscription, click here. They often have a deal going on subscriptions, so be sure to check out their homepage for any offers.
What’s your favorite way to decorate your planner? Or do you have any suggestions for crafty-subscription kits?
p.s. This is NOT a sponsored post. My love for Studio Calico is of the unrequited variety, and opinions on this kit are 100% my own.
