Hello friends!
It’s been a hot minute. But, I’m back today with a Plan With Me, so, forgive me? If you’ve been following my blog or Instagram for any amount of time, you’ll probably know how obsessed I am with Studio Calico and their amazing Planner Kit Subscription (among a million other awesome products).
This April, the Planner Kit is called Written In The Stars. It’s full with bright colors, endless stars, and super fun stamps. The color scheme actually reminds me quite a bit of my Spring 2017 Color Chart with the poppy red, golden yellow, and subdued blues.
Here’s a pic of just the kit so you can see all the awesome pieces. I always share a pic of my kit on my Instagram, so be sure to follow me there to share in the #mysckitishere fun!
Before I blab on too much about the kit, here’s the Plan With Me!
As promised at the end of the video, here are some close-up photos of the planner spread!
I am LOVING the combo of all the stars, circles, and rectangles. It creates a nice balance of different shapes.
I also enjoy the torn washi on the inside edges of the paper. The tearing effect lends the page a bit of a messy, creative look, while still looking fresh and modern.
Of course, bright is one of my favorite words! I love how stamping it on a circle punch gave it a nice border and a little dimension on the page. I know I’ll be using that stamp a ton!
Can we talk about that typewriter for a minute? So cute and perfect for symbolizing a writing date.
I think this spread achieved a great balance of decor and function. It has all the necessary elements included for the week, while also leaving room to add to-dos and events as they pop up.
Here’s a quick list of the products I used, in case you’d like to try them out yourself!
- Studio Calico April Planner Kit
- Color Theory Inks in Lavender Soda (Pigment), Poppy (Pigment), and Inky Black (Dye)
- Lucky Star Stamp Set by Hello Forever
- Mini Noah Alpha Stamp Set (Out of Stock as of 4/17/17, but click that Notify Me button to know when it’s back!)
- Paperdorable Dream Planner in Royal White
- Banner Punch
- Circle Punch (similar)
- Pilot G2 Pen in 05
- Hello Forever Numbers & Dates Stamp Set
One more thing: my inserts are printed on 32lb bright white paper. The Inky Black Dye ink doesn’t bleed all the way through, but there is a bit of faint ghosting.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I used the Studio Calico April Planner Kit! I’m looking forward to creating more Plan With Me videos and blog posts in the future, and of course, sharing them with you.
