October Wallpapers & Folder Icons 2016

October Wallpapers

Happy almost-October!

Today, I have October Wallpapers & Folder Icons to share, inspired by the beauty of Fall. As it is officially Autumn (in the Northern Hemisphere, anyway!), I wanted these designs to reflect the gorgeous colors of the season. Here in Portland, the leaves are changing color everywhere you go, contrasting beautifully against the bright, clear blue sky. Blue and orange just happen to be one of my favorite color pairings, like, ever, so these designs were fun to make.

And for the first time EVER, I made “folder” icons that aren’t actually folders. As much as I love office supplies, I thought a trail of leaves would be super cute on the side of your desktop! You can mix and match with the classic folders, or go full-out fall foliage.

You didn’t think I’d leave you without a Halloween Wallpaper, did you?! For my Halloween-loving hustlers out there, this cheeky wallpaper will keep you motivated all month long. (Oh, and there’s black folders too if you want to keep it monochrome.)

I hope these wallpapers make your month a little bit brighter! If you’re unsure how to change your folder icons, check out this video tutorial I made for a simple walk-through. Once you get the hang of it, it’s super easy to give your desktop a quick makeover anytime you need a pick-me-up.

And as always, if you have any requests or suggestion for future designs, let me know! I always check the comments and am just an email away at haley@whateverbrightthings.com.

Here’s to a great October!

Which design is your favorite? And what do you think of the leaf folder icons?!  Let me know in the comments!
