Hello friends!
This Friday I’m sharing another look into my Studio Calico x Hello Forever Planner. I love using and decorating this planner because the layout is so simple. This week, I went with more of a primary color scheme, working with bright red, yellow, green, and blue. I wasn’t so excited about it at first, but I like the way that the colors look with the planner itself and the dividers (I’m weird about that kind of stuff!).
Here are some close-ups of my planner! I used a lot of stickers and washi tape in this spread – the “To Do”, “Urgent”, and “Noted” arrows, along with the two blank ones I used for “Priority” and “No School” are all from a roll of washi tape that ended up bringing this whole spread/color scheme together.
I also used small circle sticky notes with a TV Icon stamp to mark shows that I want to watch. Between the Suits premiere and Grease Live, I wanted the TVs to stand out a little more than usual.
Now I’ll show you what I used!
First, we have the stamps. As you can see, I used quite a few different sets! I love to mix and match fonts & icons to get a unique look. The great thing about clear stamps is that you can mix and match so easily – you can see exactly where you’re stamping, which makes it fun to layer and experiment with layout. {All these stamps are from Studio Calico except for the top-left set.}
And now for color! Between the sticky notes and washi tape, the primary color scheme just kind of emerged. I then added arrow stickers that matched and used markers to add a bit of variety to the text. {All these items are from Studio Calico except for the Staedtler Marker Set.}
That’s about it! Of course, I added in my to-dos, the shows I want to watch, and other notes with a black Staedtler Triplus Fineliner – my favorite pen to use for planning!
I was pleasantly surprised at how this spread turned out. I usually find myself reaching for the same colors over and over, but this time I started with the yellow sticky notes and then decided to just go with it! I’m not going to lie – I’m super excited to start decorating my February pages! Any excuse to use pink and hearts in overload 🙂
