Favorite Fall Candles

FAVORITE FALL CANDLES

One of my favorite things about fall is sitting inside all warm and cozy while the world outside is blustery. Fall is as much about the weather as it is about the scents & spices that go with it. I love Fall candles because they instantly make a room feel cozier and, as I described in my 20 Creative Ways to Stay Inspired, Motivated, and Productive post, candles help to create a productive environment.

I get most of my candles at Bath & Body Works because they burn for what seems like FOREVER, and because they have so many different & delicious smells. So it’s no surprise that all of my favorite fall candles are from there. My best tip: wait for a 2 for $24 sale. The 3-Wick candles are normally priced at $22.50, so you’re practically getting two for the price of one! And they run their 2 for $24 sales fairly often, you just have to keep your eye on their website.

I picked up three new candles this season:

Radiant Red Maple – This candle smells JUST like caramel apples for some reason. There is a fresh, outdoor aspect to it, but to me it smells mostly like caramel apples.

Mahogany Teakwood – I had a coupon for a free mini-candle, so I grabbed this little one. It’s a very warm, woody scent, and I’m excited to try it out.

Autumn Sky – This candle is hard to describe, but it’s a very fresh scent. It has notes of cedar and lemon, so it’s more of a clean & crisp autumn scent than a warm & spicy autumn scent.

I also have a few candles left over from last fall – I told you they last forever! You could probably get by with one candle for the whole season, but I love to switch up the scent depending on my mood. Three of my favorites are:

Sweater Weather – This candle is also very fresh, with eucalyptus and sage giving it an herb-y, natural scent. It’s a little strong, but again, it’s a more natural centered-scent so it’s not overpowering in a sickening way at all.

Harvest Gathering – I don’t love pumpkin scented candle, but this one is the perfect balance of pumpkin, apple, and spices. It would be a great candle for the kitchen.

Leaves – This candle is a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy. I don’t know how else to describe it than “warm” – I know that makes no sense. It reminds me of hot cider – it has a sugary, apple scent, but it’s somehow still different than the Radiant Red Maple candle…

I know that I am not great at describing scents, but I always find it fun to see which scents other people love and why. Scent is a very personal preference, and sometimes the description on the label is not what it actually smells like. If you’re looking for a new fall candle, I hope this post was helpful in some way!

What are your favorite candles in the fall?
