Fall Makeup Inspiration

With the start of each season, I love to play with new colors and looks – especially in my makeup routine. I generally wear very simple, neutral makeup, but sometimes I like to throw on a red lip or bold liner for fun. This fall, there are a few looks I really love, and I will definitely be trying them out as the weeks pass.

GLOSSY BROWS: Big and bold brows have been on trend for a while now, but this is the first time I’m hearing about the need for a brow gloss. It sounds scary, but it makes sense – brow hairs are naturally a bit shiny, so when you use a powder or pencil, that shine usually fades. For a more natural full-brow look, I’m going to try setting them with a clear brow gel or oil that will add some sheen.

BRIGHT BLUSH: Blush is not part of my everyday routine – mostly because it feels too obvious on my face. But recently, I tried a little blush with an otherwise fairly bare base, and I LOVED it. A little pink on the lips, and a little pink on the cheeks, and you’ve got a fresh fall look. (I also like to skip mascara for an ultra-fresh look!)

SHIMMERY EYES: I love the three looks Wendy Rowe created – although some of the gorgeousness must be credited to the beautiful model, Pauline Hoarau. As a girl with brown hair and brown eyes, I sometimes feel like I have to add a pop of color somewhere. But these three looks show that a neutral look can be just as fun – and drop-dead stunning.
