Hello friend!
I am so glad to be back today and sharing again. It’s finally beginning to feel like Autumn here in Portland, and I am more than ready to get out my sweaters and jeans and boots!
For the past handful of seasons, I have shared “Color Charts” here on Whatever Bright Things. (You check them out by clicking here.) And while I enjoyed putting together those posts, I wanted to translate the idea into something a little more… interactive. Color is a huge inspiration to me – from an unexpected combination to a fresh new palette, color is a major part of my creativity! And so, I thought that I would take all my favorite colors for Autumn 2017 and create a collage sheet that you can use to get creative.
But first, here’s a little behind-the-scenes Autumn 2017 Color Inspiration…

Isn’t Autumn dreamy?! I love how all the bold warm tones are balanced out with muted blues, earthy green, and neutral browns.
And now, time to talk about the Autumn 2017 Collage Sheet!
As I mentioned earlier in this post, I wanted to turn my Autumn 2017 Color Inspiration into something you can actually use! So, whether you use a planner, journal, bullet journal, notebook, or whatever, you can use this collage sheet to decorate your pages.
I just used scissors to cut out each piece, but you could always print the designs on sticker paper. Also, I printed the collage sheet at 100% (8.5” x 11”), but if you want smaller pieces, print at 75% or even 50%.
I had so much fun creating an Autumn inspired entry in my art journal! As you can see, you can use the elements however you like – get creative and have fun!
All I used in addition to the collage sheet was some washi tape, a date stamp, and a glue stick! I used a one-inch circle punch to cut out the dots easily.
If you’d like to download the Autumn 2017 Collage Sheet, click here or on the image below. It’s totally free, for personal use only. But – be on the lookout for coordinating products on Etsy soon 🙂
I hope that all this Autumn 2017 Color Inspiration gets you excited for Fall! And if you do download and use the collage sheet, please share your creations with me. Tag me @haleympettit on Instagram or Twitter and I’ll be sure to check it out!
Wishing you the best and brightest Autumn ?
