Plan With Me February 2016

plan with me!

Hello fellow planners!

One of my favorite things to do is watch Plan With Me Videos on Youtube. There’s something so inspiring (and also, calming) about watching someone else take two blank pages and turn them into a colorful, organized guide for their week.

So this week, I thought I’d share another video of my planning process! Since my last video, I’ve started using a new planner and I have some new favorite materials that I love to use.

In this video, I make a Valentine’s Day themed February weekly spread. I don’t think I’ve ever had a planning session that went perfectly – and this is no exception! In the video, you get to see all the minor struggles that come along with stamping and other techniques, and how I work around them.

One of my favorite things about the color scheme of this spread in particular is how well it goes with the planner itself. The contrasting black and white polka dots and reds look really fun together.

I was also excited to use my new Tombow markers I got at Collage, a local art and craft supply store. I actually picked out colors to match the branding here on WBT (I’m a color nerd!) and the strawberry red was perfect for writing “Valentine’s Day” and “Instagram Challenges”.

Now’s the part of the post where I tell you everything’s from Studio Calico. (And no, I’m still not sponsored by them. I’m just obsessed with their stuff.)

What I used:

  • Studio Calico x Hello Forever Planner in Melon
  • Tombow Markers in 815 and N15 (can be found at a lot of art stores)
  • Conversation Heart Stamps – Recollections Brand, Michaels
  • Target One Spot Washi Tape (hearts) and stamp (With Love)
  • Studio Calico Stamps – Goldie Checklist Roller Stamp, Alphabet Set, Listers Set, One Little Bird Set (hearts)
  • Studio Calico Stickers – Circle Icons & Tiny Hearts
  • Lipstick & Black and White Polka Dot Washi Tape

And that’s it! Like I say in the video, I hope this post inspires you in some way. I truly believe that keeping a planner boosts productivity, creativity, and organization, whether you decorate it to the extent that I do or you simply use it as a place to brain dump your tasks for the week.

Thank you for reading!
