Today, I just want to chat a bit about life and what I’ve been up to. As much as I would love to focus more of my time on this blog, I have a lot of other projects going on at the moment! I love having different kinds of projects going on at once, as I get to exercise different creative muscles. Instead of staying silent on WBT when I’m working on other projects, I want to start sharing more! The posts might be a little less informative/detailed/specific, but I hope there will always be a sliver of inspiration ✨
Whatever Bright Things started as a place for me to share all the bright things in my life, in the hope that they might brighten up your life as well! I am a huge believer in positivity and creating beauty wherever possible. It doesn’t always have to be something huge! Maybe it’s just a sticker in your planner or a cute folder icon on your desktop. The little things make a big difference.
As I continue to share content here on WBT, my focus will always be to inspire, to be honest, and to encourage creativity and positivity. If that sounds like something you’re interested in, I am so – SO glad!
Besides this blog, you can also find me teaching over at Big Picture Classes. I currently have two courses available: Plan It Out 15 and Fashion Forward. I poured my heart and soul into these classes, pushing myself to be creative and authentic. If you haven’t already, I hope that you will check them out! Currently, I am working on another class that I cannot wait to share with you! Be on the lookout for sneak peeks sometime in January.
My writing life is a little light at the moment. I decided not to participate in NaNoWriMo this year, as I am focusing on revising the novel I drafted during NaNo in 2015. With the other projects I’m working on, I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with a big writing goal. However, I am planning to embrace the NaNo spirit whenever I can – revising a chapter here and there throughout the month.
One of the main projects I am focusing on at the moment is a collection of papercrafting digitals for my Etsy Shop. I am having so much fun working on all the pages! I’ve been getting more comfortable with Adobe Photoshop and am learning new techniques every day. If you’re interested in staying up to date with any new releases, be sure to sign up for BrightMail!
As for the rest of my time, I have been focusing on my health and creativity. From setting up my new Travelers Notebook to squeezing in a 15 minute workout between projects, I am trying to be more thoughtful about my health – both physical and emotional. I’ve found that spending time doing something creative – planning, journaling, baking, writing, reading, designing a fun room on polyvore – helps me to feel my best. I feel more energetic, more positive, and more connected to my true self. I think that creativity is a beautiful way to improve your mental and emotional health. If you’d like me to share more about my mental health and creativity, let me know in a comment or email! As I mentioned before, my hope is always that I can help you in some way by sharing my own life.
Thanks for taking the time to read this little life updates post! I’d love to hear what you’re up to in this season of your life. Leave me a comment with what your working and focusing on! And if you’d rather share in an email, you can find my address on this page.
