Sometimes, Halloween can just be an excuse to try out the fashions of one of your favorite decades or eras. Personally, I love the styles that came from the 60s mod movement – and luckily, all of these pieces are wearable after Halloween!
For this Halloween Costume Idea, stick to a black and white color palette to create a clean, geometric, mod look. I chose a striped dress (that could totally be worn again and again!), and a simple jacket. The 60s mod movement had a bit of a futuristic vibe, so go with round sunglasses, an acrylic clutch, and flat, knee-high boots. To keep to the neutral color palette, paint your nails white or nude. And the best part? Twiggy-style liner and lashes. Make your eyes your biggest & best feature by doing a mod, graphic liner and adding false lashes.
What era or decade would you channel for a Halloween Costume? Maybe the Victorian era, or the Roaring Twenties?
